Accidentally making it a tradition to travel after Christmas through New Years…
Challenging trip full of unexpected surprises! Prepared for 40º days and 20º nights, and got 20º days and 8º nights…
We were not prepared for such cold nights, and honestly if we knew the conditions were going to be that, we probably would have gone somewhere else. Ended up doing a lot of day hikes, and booking a variety of Airbnbs and hotel rooms after 2 nights out in the cold. Unfortunately the stars misaligned in almost every way and we didn’t get a chance to stay over night in the canyon. We definitely all realized how amazing it would be though! Next time.
Had a great, but very challenging time. Was buried in 100x more snow than we were prepared for..
Denver is awesome, Moab is awesome, Grand Canyon is awesome… need to revisit all of them for much longer!
